2. PRE PROJECT DETAILS

a) Title of the Project-

   A  Fictitious Interview Between Satyajit Roy And Soumitra Chattopadhyay After The Shooting Of Pather Panchali.

 

(b) Introduction-

   As per the new syllabus, Project work has been included as a part of the curriculum. We have made the choice according to the availability of works. In this project, we had to find a character based on popularity and acceptance, and then based on some interviews we had to prepare this fictitious interview.

 

(c) Objective of the Project-

   (i) Understand how to conduct an interview session.

  (ii) Develop our communication skills.

  (iii) Learn how to behave in a formal situation.

 

(d) Methodology-

  i. Discussing and Finding such a character.

  ii. Going through or watching such interviews to understand their words.

  iii. Preparing ourselves

  iv. Conducting an interview session.

  v. Submitting the final draft for evaluation.

 

(e) Conclusion-

  After completing the project, I have learned the following:

  i. How to conduct an interview session.

  ii. How to face an eminent personality.

  iii. About our body languages.

  iv. How to develop our communication skills.

  v. How to behave in a formal situation.

 

 

3. MAIN CONTENT OF THE PROJECT-

 Q. Write a fictitious interview between Satyajit Roy and Soumitra Chattapadhyaya after the shooting of Pather Panchali.(word limit 1000)

Ans- It's an imaginary interview of Satyajit Roy taken by Soumitra Chattapadhyaya after the shooting of Pather Panchali.

 Mr. Chatterjee  : Hello sir, How are you?

Mr. Roy.              : I am fine and what about you?

Mr. Chatterjee  : I am also fine. It's a great honor for me to take an interview with a great director like you.

Mr. Roy               : No, nothing like that. I am just an ordinary person like you. You are a great actor.

Mr. Chatterjee  : It's my pleasure to have comments like these for me from you. Sir, have you finished shooting the Pather Panchali movie?

Ma. Roy              : Yes, The entire shooting of the movie was completed three days ago and it will soon release.

Mr. Chatterjee  : I wish a great success in the film. How many days did it take to shoot the movie?

Mr. Roy               : It took about 1 year to shoot the full movie.

Mr. Chatterjee  : Sir, please tell us something about the movie.

Mr. Roy               : Well, the movie is based on the story of the famous Bengali Novel Pather Panchali, written by Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay.

Mr. Chatterjee  : Why and When did you decide to make the film based on the story of the famous Bengali Novel Pather Panchali.?

Mr. Roy              : Actually, the day I first read it, I decided that I would make a film on this Novel when I grew up.

Mr. Chatterjee : Ohh! It's nice. Sir, please tell us about the casts and production of the film.

Mr. Roy              : The film is produced by  The Government of West Bengal and it features Subir Banerjee, Kanu Banerjee, Chunibala Devi, and many more.

Mr. Chatterjee : How have they performed in the film?

Mr. Roy              : They performed well in the film. They all were very hardworking.

Mr. Chatterjee : Who composed the music for the film?

Mr. Roy              : The original music of the film is composed by Ravi Shankar.

Mr. Chatterjee : Sir, do you have any plan to make the sequel of the movie?

Mr. Roy              : Yes, there is a plan to make The Apu Trilogy, which will include Aparajito and Apur Sangsar ( The world of Apu)

Mr. Chatterjee : Have you selected who will be the actors in those films?

Mr. Roy              : Yes, I have already selected Kanu Banerjee, Karuna Banerjee, Subodh Ganguli, and more as the actors of the upcoming movie, Aparajito.

Mr. Chatterjee : Very nice. When will you start shooting for the film, Aparajito.?

Mr. Roy              : We will soon start shooting for the film just after the release of Pather Panchali.

Mr. Chatterjee : I wish all your movies great success.

Mr. Roy              : Thank you. I want to make the third part of my Apu Trilogy with you, if you have no objection to working with me.

Mr. Chatterjee : What that said sir! it would be a matter of pregnancy to me if I could work with a great person like you.

Mr. Roy              : Okay, then this would have been the final. I want to make the third part of my  Apu Trilogy,  The World of Apu (Apu Sansar) with you.

Mr. Chatterjee : It would be a great honor for me to be a part of the movie which would create history in film history. I will try my best to give my best performance under your direction and guidance.

Mr. Roy              : It will be also a great pleasure for me to work with you.

Mr. Chatterjee : Please sir, tell us something about our upcoming film, Apur Sangsar.

Mr. Roy              : Well, In fact, the story of Apur Sansar will start from where Apaorajit will end.

Mr. Chatterjee : Well sir, who will you play other characters in this movie?

Mr. Roy              : In fact, I have talked to Sharmila Tagore and Swapan Mukherjee Babu.  Although it is not final yet, there is a 90% chance that they will act in this movie other than you. You will lead the movie।

Mr. Chatterjee : Then, when will you start shooting for the movie. I am eagerly waiting for it।

Mr. Roy              :  (smile on face) We will start shooting for the film just after the shooting for  Aporajito will finish.

Mr. Chatterjee : Okey, We are nearing the end of the session of this interview.  What will be your message for the next generation?

Mr.  Roy             :   "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish". These lines helped me a lot to know who I am and what I want. So, I'd say find inspiration to work better on each day of your life Otherwise, it isn't worth much. You may not satisfy everyone but at the end of the day be truthful to yourself. Things will take the right course.

Mr. Chatterjee :  Thank you very much sir for giving me your valuable time. Have a great day.

Mr. Roy             : Thank you so much and I wish you a better career in your life.

   Project 'is "a study of a particular subject done over a period of time, especially by students." Hence, we can easily say that a project is planned work. 

 

8. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A PROJECT.

    It helps us to develop our knowledge on the topic. In the case of project work, the learners work in pairs or groups. It also gives them ample opportunity to open themselves up to a much better approach towards learning English as their second language. As the projects are done going beyond classrooms, in an informal situation, the learners Venture out to accomplish a number of projects to gather practical knowledge and notion. A project is an activity that enables the learners to gain a prominent and ever staying knowledge and also involves them to use.  it deliberately.
