STUDENTS AND CELL PHONES

    

Cell phones, popularly known as mobile phones are widely used in the towns and cities in the country. They are the latest trend in our society. People prefer to keep this handy phone with them. Their family and friends can get in touch with them easily rather than let them worry about their security and whereabouts. A man with a mobile phone can talk to anyone, anywhere and anytime if his or her contact number is known. So great is the use of the phone. But there is another side of cell phones. The rate of crimes connected with the cell phone has risen recently. The use of these phones by young students poses great problems. Its use disturbs attention and studies. Students are very often seen talking while walking or cycling in the street. They become careless about the cars running on the road. They are thus oper n risk of being run over. Many men meet with train accident while passing the level crossing with cell phones on their ears. The use of cell phones from so young age affects hearing power. Students become addicted to playing games., listening to music and FM on the phone, and neglect their studies
. So the addiction to cell phones by the students must be forbidden or strictly controlled by the parents, if possible.
