GLOBAL WARMING
Global warming is now a great threat to the existence of
human beings in the world. Global warming is the rise
of the temperature of the earth's surface and air. It is caused by an increase in
greenhouse gases viz carbon-di-oxide and methane gases in the atmosphere. These
gases are emitted owing to fuel, plastics, and polymer burning. The other causes of global warming are
deforestation. Urbanization and Industrialisation are also the causes of global
warming. Greenhouse gases prevent heat radiation from the earth. This rise
in the temperature of the earth melts the ice stock of the poles and glaciers of
the world. Of late a record loss of sea-ice in the Artics causes much concern
to the scientists. They have warned that the water level will rise by several
meters. The rainfall will become very irregular and desert space will expand.
The existence of life on earth will be in danger. So to prevent our earth from
global warming all countries should come forward to control the emission of
greenhouse gases. We must plant more trees instead of felling or cutting them randomly. The emission of carbon
monoxide and sulfur dioxide that cause harm to the ozone layer must be
reduced. Urbanization and industrialization must be restrained. A warmer globe
is harmful to all kinds of lives of the earth.
